Coach Gavin Lewis has been involved with the club for over 10 years. As well as being head coach of our U18 and U23 Men Gavin also coaches all of our satellite hub sessions across the city. Gavin has previously coached Wales U18 Men at FIBA level and is als a board director of Basketball Wales with responsibility for the Welsh schools basketball completions
Coach Nigel Hill has been head coach of Swansea Storm U12 and U14 Boys for the past 6 years. Nigel is a Basketball Wales Level 2 qualified coach and outside of club duties is lead coach at the Basketball Wales U13 Development Hubs. As a player Nigel represented Wales at international level and then progressing to Loughborough university and then Reading Rockets in the English top divisions.
Coach Andy Brown is one of Swansea Storms most experienced coaches. Having played at coached at professional levels in the English leagues Andy then moved to Cardiff where he become Head coach of pro club the Cardiff Heat. Andy has also coached numerous Wales junior international teams achieving success in the four nations competitions.
Coach Gavin is one of the founder members of the club. Gavin is a qualified secondary school PE teacher and a Basketball Wales Level 2 qualified coach. As well as coaching Gavin is also a FIBA international referee and regualr officities senior and junior international matches in Europe. In 2023 Gavin Was invited to participate in the NBA Summer league in Leas Vegas, Nevada where he attended lectures hosted by NBA referees and instructors.
Coach Musa has been involved with Swansea Storm as both a senior Mens first team player and now also junior head coach. Musa is a Basketball Wales Level 2 coach and is also an associate coach with the u13 Basketball Wales regional Hubs. Musa is also a fully qualified fitness instructor.
Coach Richard has been involved with the club for over 5 years, originally as a parent bringing his two children to our sessions and then become involved as an assistant coach and is now a Basketball Wales Level 2 coach. Richard ‘Mini Basketball’ are lively and energetic as he delivers the FUNdamentals of basketball
Coach Bradley is a former Wales senior men’s international player, he has played in the English National league divisions as well as representing Swansea Storm in the Welsh basketball leagues. Bradley is a Level 2 qualified coach and also is the current assistant coach to the Wales U14 Boys.
Coach Steve has been involved with the club for over 9 years. Steve started coaching our U10s squads and then followed these teams through to U16 level, achieving great success in the South Wales Basketball Leagues. Steve has recently achieved his UKCC Level 3 coaching certificate.
